Living Joyfully
with Vanessa Zoltan
Thursdays, June 6th - 27th
8:30-10:00 pm ET

Course description

Join Vanessa Zoltan for four weeks of reflection on how to bring more joy to the every day. For the month of June, we will come together every Thursday night on Zoom to consider for ourselves: What is joy? What relationship do I want to have with it? Where am I missing opportunities to bring a joyful spirit to my daily life?

Each week, we'll begin with a journal prompt, followed by a conversation focused on an aspect of joy (i.e. connection, pleasure, satisfaction and ecstasy). We will then do a sacred reading practice to see what meaning we can glean from texts about joy and the week’s more specific theme.

If you know you need this kind of self-reflection, but struggle to hold time and space for it, this class is for you. This kind of internal work is often easier to perform and regard seriously when it’s undertaken with like-minded community. Through four weeks of supportive, collaborative work, Vanessa and your classmates will help you build intention and develop the rituals you need to move towards more joyful living.

More Info

This class follows the structure and spirit of Vanessa’s previous winter class: Living Courageously. In testimonials, participants from that course reflected on their favorite part of class:

“The prompts for journaling and small group discussion were excellent, and I loved the sacred reading practice.”

“Being led through reflection by Vanessa. She’s a pedagogical rock star. Even with 70 Zoom participants I felt seen.”

“Honestly, the best part of this course for me was that I took time for myself. And with that - probably the most helpful parts were the personal times to reflect and write, that really allowed me to bring myself into the opportunities in this course.”

By processing in community, we hope each participant leaves with satisfying reflections and a confident sense of how they want joy to feature in their lives.
